The National Weather Service, in cooperation with the Natrona County Emergency Management, is hosting a weather fair on Saturday April 5th between 830am and 1 pm at the Ramada Plaza Riverside formerly known as Holiday Inn on the River in Casper. This exciting event is free of charge, and open to anyone with an interest in weather topics ranging from tornadoes to wildfires. Several presentations will be conducted during the fair, including a spotter training class to learn the characteristics of severe thunderstorms, and a hands-on event for children to learn weather basics through experimentation. Wildfires are an important concern in Wyoming and representatives from the fire community will be there to answer your questions about wildfire safety and preparation. In addition to presentations, there will be time to meet your local TV meteorologists, and enter a raffle to win safety items donated by Home Depot. The agenda for the day is listed below. For more information about the weather fair, please contact Bill Murrell.
