The Weber family has been observing the weather at this isolated southern Wyoming site for over 53 years.  The ranch site was first homesteaded by Mr. Nels Erickson, the grandfather of the present observer, Mr. Clark Weber, back in 1949 and began Coop observations at his ranch in early 1953.  His daughter, Mrs. Maybelle Weber took over as the backup observer at the ranch, and fully took over the operations of the ranch and weather observing in July 1974 when Mr. Erickson passed away.  Mrs. Weber observed at that site until her death in April 1995, when her son, Mr. Clark Weber took over the operations and observing duties of the Weber Ranch.
