May 22 - Line of Severe Thunderstorms Blasts Fremont County - Updated May 23

A line of severe thunderstorms impacted central Fremont County between 2:05 and 3:15 p.m. Monday afternoon, May 22.  The leading edge of the damaging winds reached Riverton around 2:30 p.m. with observed wind gusts of 67 mph at the Riverton Regional Airport and 86 mph at the Riverton National Weather Service office.  Hunt Field in Lander reported a wind gust of 59 mph at 2:07 p.m. and another gust of 64 mph was reported on the south side of Riverton at2:28 p.m.
