September 23 - Another Winter Storm in September Moves Through Western and Central Wyoming -- Mountain Snowfall Totals

A vigorous and unseasonably cold storm system moved across western and central Wyoming Thursday night through Saturday morning.  The cold air behind the main storm front dropped snow levels down  to near 7000 feet by Firday afternoon. The storm dumped as much as 12 to 16 inches of new snow along mainy mountain locations above 7000 feet.

Below is a table of snowfall amounts as reported by automatic snow measuring instruments and snowfall spotters along the the mountains of western and central Wyoming (between 600 pm MDT on September 21 through 1200 pm MDT on September 23th).
