Historic October Snowstorm Hits the City of Lander

Sixth Greatest October Snowstorm Impacts Riverton

  

The recent October snowstorm will be one for the record books in Lander where the official total for the 10th through 12th was 29.7 inches.  This storm ranks as the greatest storm to hit Lander during the month of October since records were started in 1891 and tied for seventh for the top snowstorm of all time.

The October 10-12 snowstorm dumped 12.1 inches of snow at the official recording station in downtown Riverton, ranking it as the sixth greatest October snowstorm since records were kept in 1907 and the 23rd greatest all-time snowstorm on record.
