...UNSEASONABLY COOL JULY TEMPERATURES ACROSS MUCH OF WYOMING EAST
OF THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE ON WEDNESDAY...

ON WEDNESDAY JULY 29TH...CASPER TIED THE 5TH COLDEST MAXIMUM HIGH
TEMPERATURE EVER RECORDED FOR A DAY IN JULY AS THE HIGH TEMPERATURE
WAS ONLY 60 AT THE CASPER AIRPORT. THE LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED WAS
IN 1992. THIS ALSO TIED THE SECOND COLDEST HIGH TEMPERATURE EVER
RECORDED FOR THE SECOND HALF OF JULY...JULY 15TH THROUGH THE
31ST...WHICH IS CLIMATOLOGICALLY ONE OF THE HOTTEST TIMES OF THE
SUMMER SEASON. THE LAST TIME THIS OCCURRED WAS IN 1978.
