Snowy and Windy Weather is Expected This Week over Western & Central Wyoming

A major storm system will continue to affect western and central Wyoming through Thursday.  Very strong southwest winds are expected today from around South Pass east to Casper where a High Wind Warning is in effect today.  However many other locations will still be windy today especially on eastern slopes of mountains and adjacent foothills.  Widespread snow will continue today and tonight over the western mountains with a mixture of rain and snow in the western valleys.  Numerous winter weather products are currently in effect for western Wyoming through tonight.  The precipitation will begin to shift east of the Divide late today and tonight, but remain spotty and on the light side.  Another significant piece of energy from this storm will affect the area Wednesday night through Thursday night.  This part of the storm could bring significant snowfall east of the Divide and Sweetwater County.
