Central Wyoming Snowstorm - May 11-12

A strong spring storm has resulted in very significant snowfall especially east of the Divide from the Wind River Basin east into Natrona County and surrounding areas through Wednesday.  Areas along the east slopes of the Wind River and southern Absaroka mountains received about 3 feet of new snow.

 

This storm has brought significant precipitation to much of the area.  A seasonal snow water equivalent map can be found here.

This storm system has also brought Riverton closer to becoming the snowiest season on record.
