Coded Cities Forecast (CCF) to be Discontinued March 15

Effective Tuesday, March 15, 2011, the NWS Riverton office will discontinue issuance of the
Coded Cities Forecast (CCF), which is found under WMO Header FPUS45 KRIW.  The CCF
is being discontinued for the Alaska, Central, Eastern, Pacific and Western regions of the
NWS after evaluation of public comments received in 2009.

More specific and detailed point-specific forecasts can be found in the Point Forecast
Matrices (WMO Header FOUS55 KRIW, or nine-letter ID: CYSPFMRIW) generated at least
twice daily from the NWS office in Riverton.  The PFM provides these detailed tabular
forecasts for 23 locations around western and central Wyoming.
