La Nina conditions set to continue this winter

Updated winter outlook

CPC has issued the latest outlook for this winter and also has the La Nina advisory in effect. The sea-surface temperatures (SST's) in the Pacific were not as strong in September and October as they were this time last year and thus, CPC continues to forecast a weak to moderate La Nina through the winter season. Below are precipitation maps taken from months when a moderate La Nina was in effect.
