...December 2007 Climate Summary...

The upper level pattern in December kept the Missouri Ozarks and southeast Kansas unsettled for a good portion of the month bringing above normal precipitation to the region.  Temperatures for the month were also slightly above normal.  A couple of significant storm systems brought some wintry weather to the area, most notably, the 2nd devastating ice storm of the year to affect the area on Dec 8th-10th, and a storm system which brought several inches of snow to central Missouri on December 15th.  Below is a summary of climate information of the month of December 2007.
