Yet another ice storm affected portions of the Missouri Ozarks and southeast Kansas, the third major ice storm in the past 13 months. (January 2007, December 2007) This ice storm had periods of thunderstorms with sleet and freezing rain as the predominant precipitation type. Ice amounts of over an inch hit locations in a band from southern Greene county along the Interstate 44 corridor into Phelps county.
