...June 2007 Monthly Climate Summary...

The month of June was record setting as torrential rains fell across the Missouri Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas. Many locations experienced flooding as nearly a foot of rain fell in some locations. Several locations saw significant rises on area rivers due to excessive runoff which impacted roads and flooded homes and businesses , especially in western Missouri and southeast Kansas.

0.3 degrees above normal (24th warmest). Note: This is the first time the temperature did not reach 90 degrees in June since 1976

1.4 degrees above normal (Tied 17th warmest)

0.4 degrees below normal (16th coolest)

The majority of rainfall occurred across southeast Kansas and western and central Missouri during the month of June. Most locations across the Ozarks received well above normal precipitation for the month. In fact for portions of western Missouri, monthly totals ranged from a foot to nearly two feet of rainfall.
