An area of low pressure along a sharp cold front lifted northeast across the Missouri Ozarks on Saturday (12/22/07). This system mainly brought rain and a few thunderstorms to the area. As the low lifted to the northeast...the winds became brisk out of the northwest and quickly dropped temperatures into the low 30s and eventually the 20s. Light snow occurred behind the low, mainly affecting locations north and west of a Columbus Kansas to Osage Beach line. One to two inches of measured snow occurred in these locations while areas to the southeast of this line generally received less than an inch of snow.
