24 hour Snowfall Ending at 7 am 02/15/10
Snow showers, some of which produced very brief periods of heavy snowfall on Sunday, produced an accumulation ranging from trace amounts to locally two inches of snow over parts of the Missouri Ozarks. Very light snow and snow flurries continued into Monday morning as well. Numerous auto accidents occurred in the Springfield area when the heavier snow showers occurred on Sunday. Many roads remained either totally or partially snow covered into Monday morning before the snow tapered off to very light flurries.
The snow was associated with a compact but intense upper low that moved southeast through Missouri late on Sunday and Sunday night.
