April 2nd Snowfall Totals

Despite the warm ground temperatures, a narrow band of intense snow with rates of 1-2 inches per hour developed over portions of northeast and east central Kansas this morning.  A swath of 2-6 inch accumulations were observed roughly from Ottawa to Brown County.  Reports received as of around 11am this morning are depicted below.  Thanks to all of the spotters, observers, law enforcement, and Emergency Managers who passed along reports!
