Heavy Rain and Flooding on September 21, 2009

 

During the morning hours of September 21, 2009, periods of thunderstorms moved over north central and east central Kansas, with heavy amounts of rainfall resulting.  Locations in Cloud, Dickinson, Clay, Ottawa, and Franklin counties reported over 3 inches of rain had fallen by early afternoon.  The rain caused flooding in and near the cities of Ottawa, Williamburg, and Longford.
