Strong Winds Across Kansas On Friday

A Windy Friday Across Kansas

After a period of nearly calm winds in the early morning hours, winds quickly increased across Kansas.  By early afternoon, many wind gusts in excess of 50 mph had been recorded.  The end results were broken tree limbs, garbage cans strewn about neighborhoods, blowing dust, and a few hard-to-control fires.
