Statistics on 100-degree Temperatures

Updated August 23rd, 2011

While the July Heat wave had broken, heat has returned to Kansas once again with 100+ degrees recorded at Topeka on Tuesday, and similar readings expected on Wednesday.  Topeka is currently one 100+ degree day shy of bringing 2011 into the top 10 in terms of most days with high temperatures of 100 degrees or greater.  In addition, the 10 consecutive days of temperatures reaching at least 100 degrees in Topeka earlier this year is tied for Topeka's 7th longest streak of 100 degree temperatures.
