Severe Weather Awareness Day 2012

Each year Northeast Kansas sees its fair share of severe weather, from tornadoes to lightning to flash flooding. The National Weather Service understands the importance of keeping you and your family safe which is why we have partnered with emergency management, tv stations, and local agencies to host a weather safety and preparedness day. Come learn about the various types of weather phenomena, the different methods to receive the warnings, and much more. The National Weather Service will offer mini weather safety talks along with interactive activities such as the flood, tornado, and weather balloon simulators.
