New Snowfall Map Available on NWS Web Sites

Daily snowfall reports are now available on our web site in both map format and GIS shape file data. The data provides an analysis of 24 hour snowfall ending at 7 am local time from National Weather Service (NWS) Cooperative Observer observations, Community Collaborative Rain Hail and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS) observations, and spotter reports.

The data can be viewed using a web based interactive map, which allows users to zoom into an area. The raw data is also available in a shape file to download into GIS-based systems. A link to the Snowfall Analysis web page is available on the left side menu under “Current Conditions.”

Additional details are available in the Product Description Document. Comments on this service can be given via a survey.
