TEARS STATE PARK AREA NORTH OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU. 

* EVENT DATE: TUESDAY MAY 6, 2003

* ESTIMATED TIME: 911 PM CDT 

* EVENT TYPE: F1 TORNADO  

* ESTIMATED MAXIMUM WINDS:  80 MPH
                  
* EVENT LOCATION: FROM 2 MILES SOUTHEAST OF ORIOLE, SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 
  V, NORTHEAST TO ALONG HIGHWAY 177 IN THE TRAIL OF TEARS STATE PARK 
  AREA. 
 
* DAMAGE AREA DIMENSIONS:  50 YARDS WIDE
                           3 MILES LONG

* INJURIES: NONE  
     
* FATALITIES: NONE 
                                        
* DAMAGE: HOMES DAMAGED BY LARGE UPROOTED TREES. SEVERAL SHEDS OR 
BARNS DESTROYED.
