COUNTY. THE FOLLOWING ARE THE FINDINGS OF THE SURVEY...

* EVENT DATE: TUESDAY 6 MAY 2003

* EVENT TYPE: F1 TORNADO  

* ESTIMATED TIME:  1125 TO 1135 PM CDT
                   
* EVENT LOCATIONS: 
  3 MILES EAST TO SOUTHEAST OF MELBER...AND NEAR THE HARDMONEY AND
  SYMSONIA AREA

* ESTIMATED WINDS: 100 MPH (PEAK) 

* DAMAGE AREA DIMENSIONS:
  125 YARDS WIDE BY 1/2 MILE LENGTH 3 ESE OF MELBER
  100 YARDS WIDE BY 1 MILE LENGTH NEAR HARDMONEY AND SYMSONIA 
 
* INJURIES:  NONE
     
* FATALITIES: NONE

* DAMAGE: 
   TRAILER MOVED COMPLETELY OFF FOUNDATION WITH SOME DAMAGE NEAR
   HIGHWAY 1241 AND PINE LANE ABOUT 3 MILES ESE OF MELBER. MINOR
   ROOF DAMAGE TO 2 NEARBY HOMES.

   NEAR HARDMONEY AND SYMSONIA...SEVERAL LARGE TREES UPROOTED.
   TORNADO OBSERVED BY SYMSONIA FIREFIGHTER.
