Photos of the Perry County Tornado on May 31, 2001

Late in the afternoon on May 31, a tornado briefly touched down about 7 miles north of Pinckneyville, Illinois. Despite an extensive check of the area by local authorities, no damage was located. The funnel cloud briefly touched down in an open field or wooded area. Photos were taken by Connie Williams and distributed by WSIL-TV. Click on photos for full size.
