periods of clouds and sun were seen through the day on friday
ahead of two storms system that were approaching the region from
the northwest and southwest. scattered showers were reported
across the area this morning and into the afternoon. rainfall
amounts at the major reporting sites ranged from a trace at
burlington to 18 hundredths at dubuque to a hundredth at cedar
rapids. high temperatures ranged from 77 degrees at dubuque to 82
degrees at muscatine and sterling.

scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will overspread the
region friday night into saturday morning ahead of two different
storm system that move through the region from the northwest and
southwest. the highest rainfall amounts will along and east of
mississippi river overnight. low temperatures on saturday morning
will range from 55 degrees at independence to 64 degrees at
sterling.
