showers and thunderstorms that occurred across eastern iowa,
northwest illinois and northeast missouri wednesday morning gave
way to sunny skies during the afternoon and evening. high
temperatures rose into the middle 80s, with the highest values at
88 degrees in mount pleasant and muscatine.

showers and thunderstorms will redevelop as a strong cold front
moves across eastern iowa and northeast missouri tonight. the
primary threat, will be locally heavy rainfall which could lead to
flash flooding, especially over areas saturated by rain wednesday
morning. low temperatures, will range in the middle to upper 60s.

precipitation will exit the area on thursday morning, and will
give way to mostly cloudy skies for the remainder of the day over
eastern iowa, with isolated showers possible across northwest
illinois, and northeast missouri. high temperatures, will range
in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
