southerly winds brought slightly warmer ... moist air to the area
saturday. some areas saw a trace of snowfall and very light
drizzle saturday afternoon. afternoon high temperatures ranged
from 37 degrees at fort madison iowa and macomb illinois to
31 degrees at freeport and dubuque.
for saturday night into sunday morning expect isolated very light
flurries with patchy light drizzle and possibly light freezing
drizzle along and north of highway 30 into overnight hours. any
freezing drizzle that does occur may produce some slick spots
especially on bridges and less traveled or untreated roads.
patchy dense fog is also possible overnight ... especially west of a
line from manchester ... to iowa city ... mount pleasant ... and keokuk.
temperatures by sunrise sunday morning will range from 31 at
freeport illinois to 36 at fort madison. increasing southerly
winds will help temperatures to rise by sunday afternoon. sunday
highs will climb into the upper 30s north to the low 40s south.
