sunny skies prevailed across the area saturday ... as high pressure
slowly dropped southeast into the ohio river valley. temperatures
topped out in the upper 30s to mid 40s.

clear skies will give way to cloudy skies overnight ... with rain
chances increasing through mid morning. temperatures will settle
into the upper 20s to mid 30s around midnight ... before rising
again during the middle of the night.

a rainy morning is on tap for sunday ... with sunshine returning for
the afternoon hours. rainfall totals will generally be light ... with
most areas seeing under a tenth of an inch. gusty southerly winds
will become more westerly sunday afternoon ... as temperatures peak
in the mid 40s in north central illinois ... to lower 60s in parts
of southern iowa and northern missouri.
