very warm and humid weather conditions prevailed across the
missouri ozarks and southeastern kansas early this evening. a line
of showers and thunderstorms ... with a few of them strong to
severe... was moving through western missouri and producing small
hail ... heavy rain ... and gusty winds. temperatures were generally
in the upper 70s to lower 80s across the area.
the storm system associated with this squall line will continue
approach the region this evening and slowly move across the area
monday and tuesday. this will bring the potential for at least two
rounds of strong to severe storms and heavy rainfall tonight
clearing skies and seasonable temperatures are forecast for the
remainder of the week with high temperatures in the middle to
upper 70s and overnight lows in the upper 50s.
