THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF WEST CENTRAL
MINNESOTA...CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA...NORTH CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA AND
NORTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THE GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER WILL REACH THE VERY HIGH CATEGORY FOR
MUCH OF CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA THIS AFTERNOON...AS
WELL AS PORTIONS OF WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA. A RED FLAG WARNING IS
IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF THE REGION.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA
LATE THIS AFTERNOON. A FEW STORMS COULD BE MARGINALLY
SEVERE...WITH STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS BEING THE MAIN THREAT. THESE
GUSTY WINDS ALONG WITH THE THREAT FOR CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING
WILL ALSO ELEVATE THE FIRE DANGER.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

THUNDERSTORMS RETURN TO THE FORECAST FOR THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK
AS AN UNSETTLED WEATHER PATTERN DEVELOPS.
