WEATHER SUMMARY FOR MINNESOTA

DRY AND CALM CONDITIONS WERE PREVALENT ACROSS MINNESOTA THIS
MORNING. MORNING TEMPERATURES WERE NEAR NORMAL ACROSS SOUTHERN
MINNESOTA WHILE SLIGHTLY COOLER THAN NORMAL ACROSS THE NORTH.
SKIES WERE CLEAR FOR ALL BUT SOME MID LEVEL CLOUDS STREAMING IN
FROM THE NORTH ACROSS THE LAKE OF THE WOODS REGION. AREA
TEMPERATURES HAD CLIMBED INTO THE 50S BY 1100 AM.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL DOMINATE MUCH OF THE UPPER MIDWEST TODAY AND
THURSDAY. A BAND OF HIGH LEVEL CLOUDS WILL STREAM IN FROM THE
NORTH TODAY AND POSSIBLY TRIGGER A FEW VERY LIGHT AND BRIEF RAIN
SHOWERS OVER NORTHEAST MINNESOTA.

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE EASTERN DAKOTAS
AND PORTION OF WESTERN MINNESOTA THURSDAY NIGHT...AND EVENTUALLY
INTO EASTERN MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN DURING THE DAY FRIDAY. LIGHT
RAIN SHOWERS WILL BE THE MAIN IMPACT FROM THIS SYSTEM...WITH A FEW
WEAK THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE SOUTH OF THE I-94 CORRIDOR.

TEMPERATURES TODAY WILL WARM INTO THE 60S AND 70S ACROSS MUCH OF
THE STATE. SLIGHTLY COOLER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED INTO THE
ARROWHEAD OF MINNESOTA AND ALONG AND SOUTH OF LAKE SUPERIOR.

CLEAR SKIES TONIGHT WILL ALLOW TEMPERATURES TO FALL INTO THE 30S
AND 40S. ON THURSDAY...COOLER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED IN
NORTHEAST MINNESOTA. WHILE AREAS TO THE WEST WILL SEE WARMER
TEMPEATURES. LOWS THURSDAY NIGHT WILL FALL INTO 30S AND 40S ONCE
AGAIN. A NOTICABLE WARM UP WILL BE FELT THIS WEEKEND.
