FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
410 AM CDT THU APR 2 2015

.DISCUSSION...
A WARM FRONT WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE NORTHWARD ACROSS THE REGION
THIS MORNING...WITH AN INCREASINGLY HUMID AIRMASS SUPPORTING A
HIGHER COVERAGE OF SHOWERS/THUNDERSTORMS TODAY. BY TONIGHT...
THE GREATEST THREAT FOR PRECIPITATION WILL SHIFT NORTHWARD INTO
THE OHIO VALLEY ALONG WITH THE WARM FRONT. A STRONG COLD FRONT
REMAINS ON SCHEDULE TO PUSH SOUTHEASTWARD THROUGH THE REGION
LATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON/EARLY FRIDAY EVENING...BRINGING WIDESPREAD
WETTING RAINFALL ALONG WITH A THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.
SOUTHWESTERLY TRANSPORT WINDS IN THE 25-30 MPH RANGE WILL LEAD
GOOD SMOKE DISPERSION BOTH TODAY AND FRIDAY.

A COOL/DRY CANADIAN AIRMASS WILL PROVIDE PLEASANT WEATHER
CONDITIONS FOR THE WEEKEND...WITH AFTERNOON RH VALUES FALLING
INTO THE 30-40 PERCENT RANGE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. HOWEVER...A
DEVELOPING STORM SYSTEM OVER THE CENTRAL PLAINS WILL PULL WARM
AND MOIST AIR NORTHWARD ONCE AGAIN EARLY NEXT WEEK...WITH SHOWERS
AND STORMS RETURNING FROM MONDAY-WEDNESDAY.
