SPOT FORECAST FOR MUD FLAT DUNCAN CREEK RX
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT
757 AM MDT FRI APR 17 2015

.DISCUSSION...THE LARGE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS SLOWLY MOVING EAST
OF THE FOUR CORNERS REGION THIS MORNING...WITH CLOUD COVER AND
THE CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION EXPECTED TO DISSIPATE OVER THE NEXT 24
HOURS. THERE IS STILL A 30 PERCENT CHANCE OF SNOW SHOWERS THROUGH
TODAY...AND ALSO A SLIGHT CHANCE THAT A THUNDERSTORM COULD FORM
OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN AND DRIFT ACROSS THE FIRE.

THE NORTH WINDS ALOFT WILL START TO DECREASE TOMORROW...AND
STARTING TOMORROW THERE IS A CHANCE THAT UPSLOPE/UPVALLEY WINDS
WILL START TO DOMINATE IN THE AFTERNOON HOURS. WINDS SHOULD
GENERALLY BE LIGHTER AND MORE TERRAIN DRIVEN SUNDAY THROUGH
TUESDAY...WITH HIGH PRESSURE BUILDING OVER THE AREA. THIS WILL
GENERALLY LEAD TO A WARMING AND DRYING TREND...THOUGH ISOLATED
SHOWERS FORMING OVER THE MOUNTAINS MAY STILL BE POSSIBLE SOME
AFTERNOONS.

MOISTURE WILL BEGIN INCREASING SIGNIFICANTLY ACROSS UTAH
WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...WITH AN INCREASED CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS EACH DAY. TEMPERATURES WILL ALSO COOL THROUGH THIS
PERIOD...AS CLOUD COVER INCREASES AND A COOL STORM MOVES SLOWLY
ACROSS THE REGION. IT CURRENTLY APPEARS THAT SOUTH WINDS WILL
BECOME STRONGER AND GUSTIER THROUGH THIS PERIOD...BUT WINDS LOOK
WEAKER THAN THE STORM THAT MOVED THROUGH EARLIER THIS WEEK.
