.DISCUSSION...

LIGHT SOUTHEAST WINDS AT 5 TO 10 MPH WILL QUICKLY INCREASE AFTER 10 AM
BETWEEN 15 AND 25 MPH THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING PERIOD. EXCELLENT
SMOKE DISPERSAL RATES IN PLACE WITH THE STRONG 20 FOOT WINDS WHILE MINIMUM
HUMIDITY VALUES DROP BETWEEN 40 AND 45 PERCENT. THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR
THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP SOUTH OF THE AREA AND TRACK NORTH AND EAST AFTER
4 PM THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING. IF A STORM WERE TO DEVELOP...LARGE HAIL AND
GUSTY WINDS WOULD BE THE MAIN HAZARDS. BEST CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS ARRIVE
WITH THE COLD FRONT. TIMING OF THE FRONT IS EXPECTED TO ARRIVE BETWEEN 4 AM
AND 8 AM THURSDAY MORNING. NORTHERLY WINDS BEHIND THE FRONT WILL HAVE
WEAKENED BELOW 10 MPH AT THIS TIME.

THE FRONT STALLS SOUTH OF THE AREA ON THURSDAY WITH THE CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. WINDS VEER TO THE NORTHEAST
AT 10 TO 15 MPH DURING THE AFTERNOON. GUSTS NEAR 20 MPH ARE POSSIBLE.
