AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE AREA CENTERED NEAR THE BORDER OF NEW
MEXICO AND COLORADO IS BRINGING MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES TO NORTHERN
AND WESTERN PARTS OF THE LAND OF ENCHANTMENT ALONG WITH ISOLATED
RAIN SHOWERS AND HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW SHOWERS. THIS LOW WILL
SLOWLY FILL AND MOVE INTO COLORADO THIS EVENING AND CONTINUE ON
INTO KANSAS BY SATURDAY NIGHT. THE PROXIMITY OF THIS LOW WILL
BRING CONTINUED MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES OVER NORTHERN AND WESTERN
PARTS OF THE STATE TONIGHT WITH A CHANCE OF LOWER ELEVATION RAIN
SHOWERS AND HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW SHOWERS. ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL OF
ONE TO TWO INCHES IS POSSIBLE OVER HIGHER ELEVATIONS ABOVE 6500
FEET IN THE NORTH. WINDS ACROSS THE REGION TODAY HAVE BEEN GENERALLY
BREEZY TO GUSTY ESPECIALLY OVER THE NORTHEAST PLAINS. WINDS WILL
DIE DOWN THIS EVENING TO BETWEEN 10 TO 20 MPH. AFTERNOON HIGHS
TODAY RANGED FROM THE 40S OVER HIGHER ELEVATIONS TO THE 60S OVER
THE LOWER RIO GRANDE RIVER VALLEY AND OVER THE EASTERN PLAINS.
ELSEWHERE AFTERNOON HIGHS WERE GENERALLY IN THE 50S. OVERNIGHT
LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER TEENS TO MID 20S OVER
HIGHER ELEVATIONS IN THE NORTH AND OVER LOWER ELEVATIONS OVER THE
WESTERN HIGHLANDS AND THE ESTANCIA VALLEY. ELSEWHERE OVERNIGHT
LOWS WILL BE IN THE 30S WITH A FEW LOCATIONS OVER THE FAR EAST TO
SOUTHEAST PLAINS IN THE LOWER 40S.

SATURDAY WILL SEE PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES IN THE NORTH AND
PARTS OF THE WEST WITH A CHANCE OF RAIN SHOWERS AND HIGHER ELEVATION
SNOW SHOWERS. ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF BETWEEN ONE TO THREE
INCHES IS POSSIBLE OVER HIGHER ELEVATIONS ABOVE 7500 FEET. ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. ELSEWHERE
SKIES WILL BE MOSTLY SUNNY TO PARTLY CLOUDY. AFTERNOON HIGHS SATURDAY
WILL RANGE FROM THE 40S TO MID 50S OVER HIGHER TERRAIN IN THE NORTH
AND WEST TO THE MID 60S TO MID 70S OVER THE LOWER RIO GRANDE RIVER
VALLEY AND OVER THE EASTERN PLAINS. ELSEWHERE AFTERNOON HIGHS WILL
RANGE FROM THE UPPER 50S TO LOWER 60S.
