AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WAS LOCATED IN EASTERN KANSAS BEFORE
DAYBREAK THIS SATURDAY MORNING. A DEVELOPING WARM FRONT WAS
LOCATED SOUTHEAST OF THIS LOW, STRETCHING ACROSS SOUTHERN
MISSOURI, NORTHERN ARKANSAS, AND ALONG THE TENNESSEE, KENTUCKY
BORDER.

THIS AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO EASTERN
MISSOURI BY MIDDAY TODAY, TO SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS EARLY IN THE EVENING,
THEN WELL EAST OF THE QUAD STATE REGION BY MIDNIGHT, DRAGGING A
COLD FRONT WITH IT.

AS THIS AREA OF LOW PRESSURE MOVES TOWARD THE QUAD STATE REGION,
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ON THE INCREASE, ESPECIALLY
DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. SOME OF THESE STORMS WILL LIKELY TURN
SEVERE AS THEY MOVE THROUGH THE AREA.

TEMPERATURES IN ADVANCE OF THIS POTENT WEATHER SYSTEM WILL REACH
INTO THE UPPER 70S TO LOWER 80S TODAY...WITH UPPER 60S EXPECTED
NORTH OF INTERSTATE 64. FOLLOWING THE PASSAGE OF A COLD FRONT
THROUGH THE AREA SATURDAY NIGHT, LOWS WILL RANGE FROM THE MIDDLE
40S NORTH TO LOWER 50S SOUTH.

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FEW SHOWERS NEXT WEDNESDAY. DRY CONDITIONS
WILL PREVAIL ACROSS THE QUAD STATE AREA NEXT WEEK. HIGHS WILL BE
IN THE 60S AND 70S...WITH LOWS MOSTLY IN THE 40S AND 50S. A FEW
READINGS IN THE UPPER 30S MAY BE POSSIBLE MONDAY MORNING.
