NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREEN BAY WI
540 PM CDT SAT APR 25 2015

UPDATED AVIATION PORTION FOR 00Z TAF ISSUANCE

.SHORT TERM...TONIGHT AND SUNDAY
ISSUED AT 229 PM CDT SAT APR 25 2015

SOME MID CLOUDS WILL DISSIPATE OR EXIT THE REGION LATER THIS
AFTERNOON OR EARLY THIS EVENING...OTHERWISE CLEAR SKIES WILL
PREVAIL TONIGHT. WINDS WILL GRADUALLY SUBSIDE LATE THIS AFTERNOON
OR EARLY THIS EVENING.

SUNNY SKIES WILL PREVAIL ON SUNDAY. ANOTHER DAY OF LOW AFTERNOON
RELATIVE HUMIDITY READINGS WILL CONTINUE TO BRING AN ELEVATED
FIRE DANGER TO THE REGION AWAY FROM THE BAY AND LAKE. DID LOWER
MINIMUM TEMPERATURES DOWN A DEGREE OR TWO. ONLY MINOR CHANGES TO
MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES ON SUNDAY.

.LONG TERM...SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY
ISSUED AT 229 PM CDT SAT APR 25 2015

THE LATEST GFS ENSEMBLE MEAN INDICATES THAT A RELATIVELY STABLE
PATTERN WILL BE IN PLACE ACROSS NORTH AMERICA OVER THE NEXT WEEK.
UPPER LEVEL TROUGHING WILL BE PRESENT OVER THE EAST COAST AND THE
GULF OF ALASKA...WHILE A MODEST RIDGE WILL SET UP FROM THE CENTRAL
ROCKIES TO THE NORTHERN PLAINS TO JAMES BAY. ONLY ONE SYSTEM TO
DEAL WITH DURING THIS STRETCH...WHICH WILL ARRIVE TUESDAY TO
WEDNESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. THE GEM AND THE EURO ARE SIGNIFICANTLY
DEEPER THAN THE GFS FOR THIS SYSTEM...BUT THE ENSEMBLE MEANS ARE
LESS ENTHUSIASTIC WHICH IS NOT A SURPRISE. WILL STICK WITH THE
BLENDED SOLUTION UNTIL BETTER AGREEMENT IS ACHIEVED.

SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY...HIGH PRESSURE WILL GRADUALLY BE
SHIFTING EAST ACROSS THE NORTHERN MISSISSIPPI VALLEY SUNDAY NIGHT
INTO MONDAY. NORTHERLY WINDS AROUND THE HIGH WILL ADVECT LOW LEVEL
MOISTURE SOUTHWARD AND COULD CLIP EASTERN WISCONSIN SUNDAY NIGHT.
ANY CLOUDS SHOULD DEPART EARLY MONDAY MORNING AND OTHER THAN
SCATTERED DIURNAL CU...SHOULD SEE A PARTLY CLOUDY TO MOSTLY SUNNY
DAY. HIGH PRESSURE WILL HANG AROUND THE REGION MONDAY NIGHT THOUGH
HIGH CLOUDS WILL LIKELY BE ON THE INCREASE OVER CENTRAL WISCONSIN.
THEN A DIGGING SHORTWAVE WILL PUSH CLOUDS ACROSS THE REGION ON
TUESDAY. LIGHT SHOWERS COULD WORK INTO CENTRAL WISCONSIN DURING THE
AFTERNOON AND LEFT A SMALL CHANCE. NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGES TO TEMPS
WHICH WILL BE NEAR OR SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL.

REST OF THE FORECAST...THE SHORTWAVE WILL DROP SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE
REGION TUESDAY NIGHT AND POSSIBLY INTO WEDNESDAY. A SMALL CHANCE OF
SHOWERS WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THIS TIME. THEN HIGH PRESSURE
REASSERTS ITSELF FOR WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY. THE NEXT CHANCE
OF SHOWERS THEN ARRIVES NEXT FRIDAY OR EARLY NEXT WEEKEND.
