...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR NORTH COASTAL
PLAINS...NORTH HILLS AND EASTERN INTERIOR FOR STRONG WINDS AND LOW
HUMIDITIES.

PERSISTENT MID LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE AND SAHARAN AIR LAYER WILL
MAINTAIN VERY DRY CONDITIONS WHILE STRONG SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE TO
THE NORTH MAINTAINS WINDY CONDITIONS ALONG THE COAST. 20-FOOT
WINDS WILL BE MAINLY FROM THE EAST WITH A SLIGHT ONSHORE COMPONENT
AT 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH. RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL FALL
BELOW 50 PERCENT IN MANY PLACES. EXPECT ANY FIRES TO SPREAD
RAPIDLY AND OUT OF CONTROL.

FIRE AND EMERGENCY OFFICIALS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE BECOMING MORE CONDUCIVE FOR THE IGNITION AND
SPREAD OF WILDFIRES.

FIRE DANGER STATEMENTS ARE ISSUED WHEN FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE APPROACHING...BUT NOT MEETING OR EXCEEDING...RED FLAG WARNING
