...A statement concerning several rivers in western Wisconsin...

Heavy rainfall over the past few days is causing significant rises on
area rivers, streams and creeks in western Wisconsin. However, no
flooding is expected at this time.

For the Trempealeau River at Dodge...The stage Thursday evening
was 6.46 feet. flood stage is 9.0 feet. The river is forecast to
reach 8.70 feet by Saturday morning.

For the Black River...

At Black River Falls...The stage Thursday evening was 40.18 feet.
Flood stage is 47.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 44.7 feet
Saturday morning.

At Galesville...The stage Thursday evening was 5.63 feet. Flood
stage is 12.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise to near 11 feet
by Monday.

For the Kickapoo River...

At Viola...The stage Thursday evening was 11.38 feet. Flood stage is
14.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 12 feet by Friday evening.

At Readstown...The stage Thursday evening was 8.27 feet. Flood stage
is 11.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise to near 9 feet Friday
evening.

At Soldiers Grove...The stage Thursday afternoon was 9.46 feet.
Flood stage is 13.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise to near
11 feet by Saturday morning.

At Gays Mills...The stage Thursday evening was 10.42 feet. Flood
stage is 13.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 11.8 feet by
Friday.

And at Steuben...The stage Thursday evening was 9.66 feet. Flood
stage is 12.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 11.3 feet by
Friday.
