WEATHER SUMMARY FOR UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
320 PM CDT SAT MAY 2 2015

MOSTLY SUNNY CONDITIONS PREVAILED ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH EARLY
AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES AROUND MID AFTERNOON WERE IN THE MIDDLE TO
UPPER 70S REGION WIDE.

A SOUTHERLY FLOW IS NOW IN PLACE ACROSS THE AREA WHICH WILL
PROVIDE MILD TEMPERATURES AND AN INCREASE IN MOISTURE. THIS RETURN
OF MOISTURE COULD LEAD TO A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR SHOWERS TONIGHT...BUT
THE GREATEST CHANCE FOR SIGNIFICANT SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IS
EXPECTED LATER ON SUNDAY INTO SUNDAY NIGHT. THUNDERSTORMS WILL
LIKELY MOVE THROUGH THE AREA SUNDAY NIGHT.

LOOKING AT THE TEMPERATURES...EXPECT WIDESPREAD HIGHS TODAY AND
SUNDAY IN THE MID AND UPPER 70S...WITH EVEN SOME READINGS IN THE
LOWER 80S IN THE TYPICALLY WARMER RIVER VALLEY LOCATIONS. THEN
OVERNIGHT EXPECT LOW TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER AND MID 50S.

THE OUTLOOK FOR MONDAY...EXPECT COOLER...BUT STILL ABOVE NORMAL
HIGHS IN THE UPPER 60S TO MID 70S. THERE IS A CHANCE FOR RAIN
ON MONDAY ACROSS IOWA ILLINOIS AND FAR SOUTHERN WISCONSIN.
