A POTENT SPRING STORM SYSTEM REMAINS ON TRACK TO EFFECT THE WEATHER
OVER EASTERN COLORADO LATE SUNDAY INTO MONDAY. AHEAD OF THIS SYSTEM
TONIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING, ISOLATED TO SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE REGION. THE CHANCES FOR
PRECIPITATION SHOULD THEN INCREASE AREA WIDE SUNDAY AFTERNOON AS THE
LOW MOVES SOUTH INTO THE FOUR CORNERS REGION AND AN UPSLOPE FLOW
DEVELOPS ACROSS EASTERN COLORADO. THIS WILL SPREAD AN ABUNDANCE OF
LOW LEVEL MOISTURE INTO THE STATE THROUGH MONDAY, WITH HEAVY WET
SNOW DEVELOPING IN AND NEAR THE MOUNTAINS, WHILE HEAVY RAIN AND A
CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOP OVER THE EASTERN PLAINS. A FEW OF
THESE STORMS ALONG THE COLORADO NEW MEXICO BORDER COULD BECOME QUITE
STRONG OR POSSIBLY SEVERE SUNDAY AFTERNOON. PERSONS PLANNING TRAVEL
ACROSS THE MOUNTAIN PASSES SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR HAZARDOUS WINTER
DRIVING CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR THE LATEST WATCHES, WARNINGS OR
ADVISORIES ON THIS DEVELOPING WEATHER SITUATION.
