BASED ON DATA THROUGH 0500 UTC MAY 07 2015

WATER VAPOR IMAGERY SHOWS AN UPPER LEVEL LOW NEAR 45.3N 164.4W...
ABOUT 1625 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST OF KAUAI AT 7 PM. AN ASSOCIATED
UPPER LEVEL TROUGH EXTENDS FROM THE LOW TO 36.5N 162.9W TO 28.3N
172.0W. ANOTHER WEAKER MID TO UPPER LEVEL LOW APPEARS ON WATER VAPOR
IMAGERY NEAR 24.6N 165.3W...ABOUT 390 MILES NORTHWEST OF KAUAI. HIGH
CLOUDS ARE SEEN ON BOTH THE LAST VISIBLE IMAGERY OF THE DAY AND
SUBSEQUENT INFRARED IMAGERY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM...MOVING
FROM WEST TO EAST OVER AND NORTH OF THE MAIN HAWAIIAN ISLANDS. FOR
THE MOST PART THE HIGH CLOUDS ARE THIN AND PATCHY ENOUGH TO DISCERN
LOWER CLOUDS.

LOW CLOUDS NEAR THE ISLANDS ARE MOVING IN FROM THE EAST...WITH LOW
CLOUDS CONCENTRATING ON THE EAST SIDES OF THE ISLANDS. ON
KAUAI...LOW CLOUDS COVERED MOST OF THE EASTERN HALF OF THE
ISLAND...WHILE ON OAHU...THEY WERE CONCENTRATED OVER THE KOOLAU
RANGE AND THE ADJACENT COAST. ON MOLOKAI...LOW CLOUDS WERE FOCUSED
OVER THE HALAWA VALLEY ON THE EASTERN END OF THE ISLANDS. A LOOK AT
MAUI SHOWS LOW CLOUDS OVER THE EAST FACING SLOPES OF THE WEST MAUI
MOUNTAINS...AND OVER THE LOWER SLOPES OF HALEAKALA FROM HUELO TO
HANA TO WAILEA. IN ADDITION TO LOW CLOUDS OVER THE EAST FACING
SLOPES OF THE BIG ISLAND...ADDITIONAL LOW CLOUDS REMAIN OVER THE
WEST FACING SLOPES FROM HAWAIIAN OCEAN VIEW ESTATES TO KONA AT
SUNSET.
