...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED ONCE AGAIN TODAY
MAINLY ACROSS THE SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN AND INYO COUNTY.
INCREASINGLY BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL DEVELOP TODAY THROUGH THURSDAY
AS A STRONG AND COLD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM BEGINS TO MOVE TOWARDS THE
AREA. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE AREA WIDE FRIDAY AS THE
LOW MOVES THROUGH WITH TEMPERATURES WELL BELOW NORMAL EXPECTED.
DRYING AND WARMING CONDITIONS EXPECTED SUNDAY INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

A WEAK LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING INLAND THROUGH SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA TODAY WILL MAINTAIN STRONGER ONSHORE FLOW WITH MINOR
INLAND COOLING...GUSTY WEST WINDS IN THE MOUNTAINS AND
DESERTS...AND A DEEP MARINE LAYER. FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY...A COLD
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM FROM THE NORTH WILL BRING ADDITIONAL INLAND
COOLING... STRONGER GUSTY WEST WINDS IN THE MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS
AND PERIODS OF SHOWERS. THE MOST WIDESPREAD SHOWER COVERAGE IS
EXPECTED FOR LATE THURSDAY THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY. THERE WILL ALSO BE
A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS. DRY WITH A WARMING TREND FOR
SATURDAY THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK UNDER HIGH PRESSURE.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPING OVER THE WESTERN STATES WILL LEAD
TO DRY CONDITIONS TODAY THROUGH THURSDAY...AND WILL USHER IN GUSTY
SOUTHWESTERLY AFTERNOON WINDS ALONG WITH COOLER HIGH TEMPERATURES.
HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL COOL WELL BELOW NORMAL BY THURSDAY...AND
RESULT IN SOMEWHAT ELEVATED MINIMUM HUMIDITIES. MINIMUM HUMIDITIES
OVER THE DESERTS WILL MOSTLY RANGE FROM THE MID TEENS TO MID 20S
BOTH DAYS. SOME OF THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR OVER SOUTHEAST
CALIFORNIA ON THURSDAY...WHERE AFTERNOON GUSTS MAY EXCEED 35 MPH AT
TIMES.
