.DISCUSSION...

RED FLAG CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. RHS

IN ADDITION...ISOLATED HIGH BASED STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE...
BRINGING THE THREAT OF DRY LIGHTNING AND LOCALIZED ERRATIC
WINDS...ESPECIALLY OVER THE SOUTHEAST PLAINS.

THIS EVENING...A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH THE PLAINS AND LEAD
TO UPSLOPE CONDITIONS BY THURSDAY MORNING. THE FRONT WILL RETREAT
FROM THE MOUNTAINS SOUTH OF PUEBLO THURSDAY AFTERNOON...ALLOWING
A RESURGENCE OF RED FLAG CONDITIONS ACROSS THE SAN LUIS VALLEY
AND LAS ANIMAS COUNTY FROM NOON UNTIL 6 PM.

OTHERWISE...WETTING PRECIPITATION WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG AND EAST
OF THE MOUNTAINS THURSDAY MORNING NORTH OF HIGHWAY 50...SPREADING
SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 50 THURSDAY NIGHT. SNOW LEVELS WILL FALL TO THE
LOWEST ELEVATIONS OF THE PLAINS BY FRIDAY MORNING.

FIRE DANGER WILL RAMP UP AGAIN THIS WEEKEND AS HIGH PRESSURE
REBUILDS AND WINDS INCREASE AHEAD OF ANOTHER PACIFIC STORM
SYSTEM.

ON THURSDAY...VENTILATION RATES WILL BE EXCELLENT ACROSS MOST
OF THE DISTRICT. HOWEVER...AREAS ALONG AND NORTH OF A COLD FRONT
LYING APPROXIMATELY ALONG HIGHWAY 50...WILL LIKELY SEE ONLY FAIR
TO GOOD VENTILATION. ON FRIDAY...RATES WILL GENERALLY BE FAIR
TO GOOD EVERYWHERE.
