.DISCUSSION...

ACTIVE WEATHER IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE REGION OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL
DAYS. A WEAK DISTURBANCE MOVING OVER NORTHERN COLORADO WILL BRING
AFTERNOON AND EVENING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE MOUNTAINS
TO THE WEST OF THE BURN AREA...WHICH WILL SHIFT EAST THROUGH THE
EVENING HOURS. LIGHTNING AND GUSTY OUTFLOW WINDS WILL BE THE PRIMARY
THREATS. A COLD FRONT IS FORECAST TO DROP SOUTH OVER THE PALMER
DIVIDE THIS EVENING WITH GUSTY NORTH WINDS BEHIND IT.

ANOTHER DISTURBANCE IS FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS COLORADO ON FRIDAY.
FLOW IN THE LOW LEVELS WILL TURN SOUTHEASTERLY BRINGING IN BETTER
MOISTURE TO THE AREA. THIS SHOULD ALLOW FOR BETTER SHOWER AND
THUNDERSTORM CHANCES FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. LIGHTNING ALONG
WITH GUSTY OUTFLOW WINDS AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL ARE THE MAIN
THREATS.

SMOKE DISPERSALS WILL GENERALLY BE FAIR THIS AFTERNOON AND
AGAIN ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
