EVENING FOR THUNDERSTORMS FOR THE LOUP RIVERS AND FRENCHMAN
BASINS AND FOR THE LOESS PLAINS...

* AFFECTED AREA...IN NEBRASKA...FIRE WEATHER ZONE 209 LOUP
  RIVERS BASIN...FIRE WEATHER ZONE 210 FRENCHMAN BASIN AND FIRE
  WEATHER ZONE 219 LOESS PLAINS.

* THUNDERSTORMS...THERE IS A RISK OF DRY LIGHTNING WITH
  THUNDERSTORMS AFTER NOON MDT (1 PM CDT) UNTIL THIS EVENING.

* OUTFLOW WINDS...HIGHLY VARIABLE WITH GUSTS EXCEEDING 30 MPH
  POSSIBLE.

* IMPACTS...LIGHTNING MAY START FIRES IN THE EXTREMELY DRY CURED
  GRASSES. THERE IS ALSO A RISK OF SUDDEN CHANGES IN WIND SPEED
  AND DIRECTION. AS A RESULT...THE FIRE FRONT MOVEMENT WILL BE
  UNPREDICTABLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF
STRONG WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AND WARM TEMPERATURES WILL
CONTRIBUTE TO EXTREME FIRE BEHAVIOR.
