...GET IN...GET DOWN...COVER UP...

BEFORE TORNADOES THREATEN THIS SPRING AND SUMMER...HAVE A PLAN OF
ACTION. THE BEST OPTION FOR TORNADO SAFETY IS AN UNDERGROUND
SHELTER...A SAFE ROOM...OR THE BASEMENT OF A WELL-BUILT STRUCTURE.
IF THESE OPTIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE...GET DOWN TO THE LOWEST FLOOR OR
MOST INTERIOR SMALL ROOM AND PROTECT YOUR HEAD. MOBILE HOMES OFFER
LITTLE PROTECTION FROM TORNADOES...SO ABANDON THEM AND SEEK A MORE
SECURE BUILDING.

IF YOU SEE A TORNADO WHILE TRAVELING...DRIVE AWAY IF TIME PERMITS.
DO NOT TAKE SHELTER BENEATH A HIGHWAY OVERPASS. IF YOU HAVE LITTLE
TIME TO REACT...PULL OVER INTO A DITCH AND EITHER CROUCH DOWN IN
YOUR VEHICLE BELOW WINDOW LEVEL...OR ABANDON YOUR VEHICLE AND LIE
DOWN IN A LOW AREA AWAY FROM YOUR VEHICLE AND COVER YOUR HEAD.

FOR MORE COMPLETE INFORMATION ON TORNADOES AND TORNADO SAFETY VISIT

THE COLORADO SEVERE WEATHER PREPAREDNESS WEB LINK AND CHOOSE THE
TUESDAY STATEMENT.

IF A TORNADO THREATENS YOUR LOCATION...REMEMBER TO GET IN...GET
DOWN...AND COVER UP!
