* LOW FOR THUNDERSTORMS IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY

.TIMING AND STRENGTH...
* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE MOUNTAINS MAINLY WEDNESDAY
  THROUGH FRIDAY
* THURSDAY IS THE BRUNT OF THE STORM AND THE BEST CHANCE FOR THE
  VALLEY TO EXPERIENCE SHOWERS
* SNOW LEVELS AROUND 5500 FT...MAY BE LOCALLY LOWER IN HEAVY
  SHOWERS

.WEATHER SUMMARY...
AN UPPER LEVEL LOW DROPS SOUTH INTO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WEDNESDAY
INTO THURSDAY. THIS WILL BRING A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS OVER INTERIOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA...ESPECIALLY TO
THE MOUNTAINS. THE LOW SHIFTS INTO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ON FRIDAY
AND SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED TO DECREASE OVER NORTHERN CALIFORNIA.
PRECIPITATION IS SOMEWHAT LIMITED WITH THIS SYSTEM, SO AMOUNTS ARE
GENERALLY EXPECTED TO BE LESS THAN HALF AN INCH, AND WILL BE
VARIABLE DUE TO THE CONVECTIVE NATURE OF SHOWERS. SNOW LEVELS
WILL BE AROUND 5500 FT, WITH LOCALLY LOWER LEVELS POSSIBLE IN
HEAVIER SHOWERS. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS UP TO 6 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE
OVER THE SIERRA.

THE NWS WILL CONTINUE TO PROVIDE UPDATES AS THE SITUATION
DEVELOPS.
