5 DAY ICE DISCUSSION...
LOW PRESSURE ACROSS EASTERN LAKE SUPERIOR LATE THIS AFTERNOON WILL
MAKE IT TO NEAR JAMES BAY BEFORE REMAINING THERE THROUGH MID WEEK.
BY LATE IN THE WEEK IT WILL BEGIN TO REDEVELOP FURTHER EAST ACROSS
QUEBEC. A SERIES OF WEAK TROUGHS WILL ROTATE AROUND THE LOW WHILE
HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN NEARLY STATIONARY ACROSS CENTRAL CANADA
AND THE NORTHERN PLAINS. THE HIGH WILL SLOWLY BUILD ACROSS THE
WESTERN LAKES LATE IN THE WEEK.

THIS WILL KEEP A PREDOMINATE NORTHWEST TO WEST-NORTHWEST FLOW ACROSS
THE THE MAJORITY OF THE LAKES THROUGH THE WEEK WITH SUBTLE SHIFTS
WITH EACH TROUGH PASSAGE. WINDS WILL BE WEST-SOUTHWEST ON LAKE ERIE
UNTIL MID WEEK WHEN THEY TOO WILL SHIFT TO THE WEST-NORTHWEST. THE
WEST-SOUTHWEST WINDS MAY EXCEED 25 KNOTS ON LAKE ERIE TUESDAY AND
WEDNESDAY.

TEMPERATURES WILL BE BELOW NORMAL ACROSS THE NORTHERN LAKES THROUGH
SATURDAY. ELSEWHERE TEMPERATURES WILL BE NEAR NORMAL TUESDAY...BUT
ALSO TURN COOLER AND BE BELOW NORMAL WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

IN GENERAL THE LIMITED ICE FIELDS WILL CONTINUE THEIR
DETERIORATION...BUT AT A SLOWER PACE THAN WHAT IT COULD BE THIS TIME
OF YEAR. BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES...CONSIDERABLE CLOUDINESS...AND
THE PERSISTENT WIND FLOW WILL INHIBIT FASTER DETERIORATION. NIGHT
LOWS WILL GET BELOW FREEZING ACROSS ALL OF THE LAKES WEDNESDAY
THROUGH SATURDAY.
