FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EAST KENTUCKY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON KY
635 AM EDT WED MAY 6 2015

.DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN IN CONTROL THROUGH THE
REST OF THE WEEK...KEEPING CONDITIONS RELATIVELY DRY ACROSS MUCH
OF EASTERN KENTUCKY. A SUBTROPICAL LOW DEVELOPING OFF THE
SOUTHEAST ATLANTIC COAST WILL ALLOW FOR JUST ENOUGH MOISTURE TO BEGIN
PULLING INTO THE REGION TOMORROW THAT ISOLATED RAIN AND THUNDER
CHANCES HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO SPREAD ACROSS A GOOD PORTION OF
EASTERN KY DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON/EARLY EVENING HOURS.
OTHERWISE...EXPECT BEST MOISTURE TO BE CONTAINED OVER THE HIGH
TERRAIN. WINDS WILL REMAIN QUITE LIGHT FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE
WEEK...GENERALLY 10 MPH OR LESS EVEN DURING THE AFTERNOON WHEN
BEST MIXING WILL OCCUR.
