FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH-CENTRAL
ARIZONA AND SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PHOENIX AZ
300 AM MST SUN MAY 3 2015

.DISCUSSION...
THE WEAK PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM THAT BROUGHT SHOWER/THUNDERSTORM
ACTIVITY TO SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA ON SATURDAY IS NOW MOVING OFF TO
THE EAST...WHICH SHOULD ANY LIMIT ANY CONVECTIVE ACTIVITY TODAY TO
THE HIGHER TERRAIN NORTH AND EAST OF PHOENIX. ANOTHER...STRONGER
STORM SYSTEM WILL THEN BE MOVING INTO THE REGION ON MONDAY. THIS
NEW STORM SYSTEM WILL LIKELY PRODUCE SCATTERED-NUMEROUS SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA ON MONDAY...WITH
LESS ACTIVITY ELSEWHERE. SLIGHTLY COOLER TEMPERATURES CAN BE
EXPECTED TODAY...WITH MORE NOTICEABLE COOLING ON MONDAY.

...THUNDERSTORMS IMPLY GUSTY WINDS...

NOTE...ADDITIONAL FIRE WEATHER FORECAST INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND
IN THE AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION. SEE PRODUCT PHXAFDPSR.
