THE ASCAT PASS FROM THIS AFTERNOON COVERED ALL BUT THE AREA WITH
THE HIGHEST WINDS. GRADIENT HAS CHANGED LITTLE FROM THIS MRNG WHEN
GALE FORCE WINDS WERE REPORTED OFFSHORE. HIGHEST WINDS ARE STILL
MAINLY BTWN PT ARENA AND PT PINOS.

LARGE SFC HIGH CENTERED NEAR 36N140W WILL CONTINUE TO PRESS
SLOWLY EASTWARD WHILE SFC TROF REMAINS OVR INTERIOR CALIFORNIA.
THE TROF IS EXPECTED TO EXPAND WWRD THRU LATE THU. THE MODELS
AGREE ON SFC LOW DVLPNG INLAND JUST E OF PT REYES THU NIGHT...
THEN SLOWLY WEAKEN THRU SAT. WILL CONTINUE N TO NW GALES OFF THE
CNTRL CALIFORNIA COAST THU THU...THEN DMNSH WINDS PER MODELS FCST
THU NIGHT...WITH WINDS DMNSHNG TO 30 KT JUST BEFORE 12Z FRI.

PAC...ALLOWING WINDS TO DMNSH TO LGT BY LATE SAT THOUGHOUT THE

ACROSS THE AREA LATE SAT INTO SUN...ACCOMPANIED ONLY BY A MINIMAL
CHANGE IN WIND DRCTN. FOLLOWING THE COLD FRONT...E PAC HIGH
STRENGTHENS WHILE LOW PRES BCMS ESTABLISHED OVER INTEROOR CONUS.
PLAN TO INCRS WINDS TO 20 TO 25 KT OVER MOST WATERS SUN...AND
SUSTAINING THRU SUN NIGHT. SUN AND SUN NGT...MODELS BGN ON
DISAGREE ON SOME OF THE DETAILS ON ON WHERE THE INLAND TROFS WILL
OCCUR...BUT OVERALL...STILL A MODERATE GRADIENT WILL PREVAIL OVER
THE OFFHSORE WATERS.


.SEAS...THE MULTIGRID WAVEWATCH III HAS INITIZIZED WELL EXCEPT IN THE
AREA OF THE STRNGST NW WINDS OFF THE CNTRL CALIFORNIA COAST WHERE
THE MODEL FCST SEAS HV BEEN 1 TO 3 FT TOO LOW. THE ECMWF WAM SEAS
ARE ABOUT 1 TO 3 FT HIGHER THEN THE WAVEWATCH HERE AND IS A BETTER
FIT...SO THE WAM WILL BE USED FOR FCST GDNC. ALTHOUGH OPC DOES NOT
POPULATE SWELL GRIDS...IF WE DID...THE WAVEWATCH SWELL GRIDS ARE
SUPIRIOR THE ECWMF WAM SWELL FCST.

LONG PERIOD SW SWELL CONTS OVER THE SRN CA WATERS...PROTECTED FROM
THE NW WINDS WAVES. ELSEWHERE...UNDERLYING S SWELLS OF 15 TO 19
SEC WILL BE REPLACED ON FRI BY SW SWELL 16 TO 20 SEC GENERATED
