MARCH CAME ROARING IN LIKE A LION WITH COLD TEMPERATURES AND EVEN
SNOWFALL ACROSS THE AREA. HOWEVER...AS WE CLOSE OUT THE
MONTH...TEMPERATURES WILL BE NEAR 15 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL IN SOME
AREAS...AS HIGHS CLIMB INTO THE 75 TO 80 DEGREE RANGE. WITH
INCREASED TEMPERATURES...STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...A
RED FLAG WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE AREA NORTH AND EAST OF A
LINE FROM LOUP CITY TO GRAND ISLAND TO SUPERIOR...NEBRASKA...AND FOR
JEWELL AND MITCHELL COUNTIES IN NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.
